Important Health Statements
Be ready to present this information at the Gate prior to entering show grounds
Due to the Vesicular Stomatitis (VS) outbreak in several states (Missouri is NOT one of these states), horses coming from states with active cases, are required to have a “Permit” issued by the Missouri Dept of Agriculture, in addition to their normal health certificate issued within 15 days of arrival at the National Equestrian Center.
Horses coming from unaffected states simply need a Health Certificate dated within the last 30 days. As is standard, all horses must have a current Coggins. All health certificates, regardless of the state, must have the following statement: “The animals are free of visible signs of contagious, infectious, or communicable disease. The animals have not been exposed to VS and within the past 30 days have not been within 10 miles of any site under quarantine for VS.”
Current affected states include: Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas and Wyoming. Oklahoma has been removed from the list.
Please be ready to present your health certificates to NEC staff AT THE GATE prior to entering the show grounds and again in the show office at check-in.
We thank you for your cooperation and patience in this important safety matter.

Our Charities
The St. Louis National Charity Horse Show is proud to support two amazing non-profit organizations in our community: Stray Rescue of St. Louis, an organization dedicated to finding new life for stray animals of St. Louis, and TREE House of Greater St. Louis, a therapeutic horsemanship center for people with disabilities and their families. Over the last five years, we have proudly donated over $115,000 to these charities. Together, we work to improve the lives of both people and animals through our events and the organizations they benefit.
Supporting the Show
Each year, the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show provides a wide range of regional and national sponsors the opportunity to promote themselves while supporting our philanthropic event. Opportunities include sponsoring events, advertising or donating to the horse show. Businesses and organizations of all sizes and backgrounds have taken the initiative to support the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show while also growing their own enterprises.
