A good tip for riding on winter footing.


FROZEN FOOTING: Avoid riding on frozen footing by listening to your ride. When the footing is frozen, your horse’s feet will making a ringing sound as their hooves make contact with the ground. If you hear this sound stop trotting or cantering. Riding on frozen ground can cause sole bruising and joint injuries. It may be a good time to drag the arena or limit your workout to walking.
